This project was a live brief with a producer from a graphics company who were tasked in creating the annual Christmas light show in Eastbourne, know to the locals as "Neon Noel". The brief was to create a segment for the season of autumm   

 

The group discussed on themes we could use with the visiting lecturer, this made me think of halloween and that the clock tower could be an haunted house.

 

But I wanted to have an animated feature but bats seemed too cliche, so I thought about Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds (1950) and instantly like the idea of using Starlings murmurations not only because they look visually appealing but are local to Eastbourne during the autumn migration.
